If you have ever thought about the viability of doing BPOs yourself, take a look at what three of my students are accomplishing.
David R., Teniecha C., and Tara H. all started doing Broker Price Opinions this year. These are their average monthly BPO earnings over the last three months:
- David R.: $5,887 per month
- Teniecha C.: $2,308 per month
- Tara H.: $1,833 per month
And their numbers are climbing.
What stands out to me is that each of them started where many agents are right now: interested in BPOs, but needing a clear path to get moving.
Can BPOs Become a Real Source of Income?
For these three students, the answer is already taking shape.
BPOs give licensed real estate agents an opportunity to earn fees by evaluating properties for banks, mortgage servicers, and valuation companies. Depending on the assignment, that work can include property photos, comparable sales research, market analysis, and a completed report.
You are getting paid for work that uses your real estate knowledge.
But getting registered with a few companies is only the beginning. Building income takes consistent attention to assignments, deadlines, report quality, and relationships with the companies ordering the work.
That is why my training goes beyond handing someone a list of BPO companies. I help students understand how the business works and build a process they can actually manage.
Different Starting Points. Meaningful Progress.
David’s average is approaching $6,000 a month. Teniecha and Tara are building additional income streams at their own pace.
Those amounts can make a meaningful difference in an agent’s business—especially during the stretches between closings.
These are individual student results, not a promise of what every agent will earn. What they demonstrate is that BPO income is a practical possibility worth exploring.
I have been doing BPOs since 2008, and helping other agents develop this part of their business remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
If you have been wondering whether BPOs could fit into your real estate business, let’s have a conversation about what getting started would look like for you.
